What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Circle K's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the computer and EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) requirements for a standard Circle K store also apply to both Motor Fuel Businesses and Branded Businesses. Aside from a Network Fee, Circle K does not impose additional computer-related requirements, investments, or obligations beyond those already required for a typical store.

To operate a Motor Fuel Business or Branded Business, franchisees must sign a Credit Network Agreement to gain access to the TMC Network. This agreement requires franchisees to pay a monthly Network Fee, which, as of the FDD's publication date, is $50 per month. However, Circle K retains the right to modify this Network Fee with a 30-day advance written notice.

Prospective franchisees should note that while Circle K specifies the computer and EPOS requirements, the FDD excerpt does not explicitly state whether franchisees are required to purchase these systems from a designated source. It would be prudent for potential franchisees to seek clarification from Circle K regarding approved vendors or specific system requirements to ensure compliance and budget accurately for these technology-related expenses.
