What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Circle K's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all items containing the Proprietary Marks, including signage, must be purchased from Circle K's approved suppliers. Circle K will provide a list of these approved suppliers to the franchisee, and this list may be modified from time to time.

This requirement ensures brand consistency and quality control across all Circle K locations. By mandating that franchisees purchase branded items from approved suppliers, Circle K maintains uniformity in its image and presentation. This helps to reinforce brand recognition and customer trust.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will not have the freedom to source signage or other branded materials from any vendor they choose. While this limits autonomy, it also ensures that the franchisee receives items that meet Circle K's standards. It is important for a potential franchisee to understand that Circle K has the right to change the approved supplier list at any time.

It would be prudent for a prospective Circle K franchisee to request the current list of approved suppliers and inquire about the process for adding or changing suppliers. Understanding the costs associated with these branded items and the frequency with which suppliers are changed can help a franchisee budget effectively and avoid unexpected expenses.
