According to Circle K's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for a single Circle K store is $25,000. This fee is payable via cashier's check in a lump sum when the Convenience Store Franchise Agreement is signed. Generally, this fee is non-refundable once paid to Circle K. However, during the last fiscal year, the initial franchise fees paid to Circle K for a single store ranged from $1,000 to $25,000. The lower end of the range represents a reduced initial franchise fee in connection with signing a single store Franchise Agreement after having entered into a Multiple Site Operator Agreement.

Notably, the initial franchise fee can vary if the franchisee commits to developing multiple Circle K stores. For example, if a franchisee agrees to open two stores, the total initial franchise fee would be $40,000 ($25,000 for the first store and $15,000 for the second store). If the franchisee commits to opening six stores and signs all six franchise agreements simultaneously, the initial franchise fee is reduced to $10,000 per store, totaling $60,000. Circle K retains the right to modify or terminate this program at any time.

It is important to note that Circle K participates in the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (Vet Fran). Eligible veterans who provide acceptable documentation of an honorable discharge from the U.S. military may receive a 10% discount off the initial franchise fee due at the time of signing the Convenience Store Franchise Agreement. This discount can significantly reduce the initial investment for qualified veterans seeking to franchise with Circle K.
