What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Circle K's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees operating a Branded Business are not required to engage in local advertising or promotion. However, if a franchisee chooses to do so, any advertising materials they develop must comply with Circle K's standards, and they must obtain written approval from Circle K before using the materials. This policy ensures that all advertising aligns with the brand's image and standards.

This flexibility allows franchisees to tailor marketing efforts to their specific local market conditions, while still maintaining brand consistency. The requirement for written approval ensures that all advertising aligns with Circle K's overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors want to maintain control over brand messaging while allowing for some local adaptation.

Circle K does not currently have an advertising council for its Branded Business offering, but retains the right to create one in the future. As of the date of the 2025 Disclosure Document, there are no advertising cooperatives or other local marketing groups formed for the Branded Business.
