What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cinnabon may require a franchisee to hire one or more additional managers to serve as a Director of Operations if the franchisee and their affiliates operate four or more Cinnabon bakeries. The Director of Operations would provide additional support and supervision to these multiple locations.
This requirement is not automatically triggered by owning four or more locations. Cinnabon retains the discretion to decide if a Director of Operations is necessary. This implies that the need for a Director of Operations is based on Cinnabon's assessment of the franchisee's operational capabilities and the performance of their bakeries.
Any Director of Operations hired must meet Cinnabon's minimum standards for the position and complete the Management Training Program, as well as any other training programs that Cinnabon specifies. The franchisee must inform Cinnabon in writing of the identity of any Director of Operations. If a Director of Operations dies, becomes disabled, terminates employment, or is replaced, the franchisee must notify Cinnabon immediately and designate a successor within 30 days.
