What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cinnabon FDD, a franchisee's use of the Marks and System is generally restricted to the Accepted Location, as specified in Schedule A. However, there are exceptions.
A Cinnabon franchisee can operate a Concession Bakery, essentially a food truck, selling a limited selection of approved products. This Concession Bakery can be situated in a Host Facility, which is another facility or private space.
Additionally, the franchisor retains the right to offer Cinnabon products through alternative channels of distribution, such as supermarkets, convenience stores, e-commerce, and delivery kitchens, without providing compensation to the franchisee. The franchisor may also establish franchises or company-owned businesses in Other Locations, which include venues like airports, amusement parks, malls, and universities, even within a franchisee's Area of Protection.
