Does Cinnabon specify the signs franchisees must purchase?
Cinnabon Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must purchase and install, at your expense, all fixtures, furnishings, equipment (including a Computer System), décor and signs, as we direct. If we modify our menu, we may require you to purchase additional equipment to prepare and store new menu items. You may not install on or about your Bakery any merchandise, furnishings, interior or exterior décor items, supplies, fixtures, equipment or utensils unless they have been approved by us in writing. You must purchase these items only from an Approved Supplier unless we specify otherwise.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase and install signs as directed by Cinnabon. This includes purchasing these signs, along with fixtures, furnishings, equipment, décor, and a Computer System, at the franchisee's expense.
Cinnabon maintains control over the items installed in the bakery, as franchisees cannot install any merchandise, furnishings, interior or exterior décor items, supplies, fixtures, equipment, or utensils without written approval from Cinnabon. These items must be purchased from an Approved Supplier, unless Cinnabon specifies otherwise.
This requirement ensures that all Cinnabon locations maintain a consistent brand image and meet the franchisor's standards. For a prospective franchisee, this means they must budget for these required purchases and adhere to Cinnabon's specifications regarding suppliers and approved items. Failing to comply with these requirements could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
