What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Cinnabon FDD, Baskin-Robbins has been offering franchises in the United States and certain international markets since March 2006. Cinnabon is affiliated with Baskin-Robbins through their parent company, Inspire Brands. This means that both franchise systems are under the same corporate umbrella, which is relevant for prospective franchisees to understand the broader network and potential synergies or resources available.

As of December 29, 2024, Baskin-Robbins had a significant presence in the United States, with 2,245 franchised restaurants. These include single-branded locations, restaurants at multi-brand locations, and combo restaurants with Dunkin'. Internationally, Baskin-Robbins boasts an even larger footprint, with 5,651 single-branded franchised restaurants operating in various countries and Puerto Rico.

The history and scale of Baskin-Robbins' franchising operations could be seen as a positive indicator for potential Cinnabon franchisees. It demonstrates experience in managing a large franchise network, which may translate to more robust support systems, established brand recognition, and potentially better negotiating power with suppliers. However, franchisees should still conduct their own due diligence to assess the specific benefits and challenges of being part of the Inspire Brands network.
