What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will provide acceptance or non-acceptance of a proposed location for a Concession Bakery within 15 days. This timeframe begins after the franchisee delivers the last item of materials requested by Cinnabon to evaluate the suitability of the proposed location. The franchisor's determination regarding the proposed location is considered final.
This 15-day review period is important for prospective Cinnabon franchisees as it sets the expectation for how quickly they can expect to receive feedback on their proposed location. Knowing this timeframe allows franchisees to plan their site selection and development process more effectively. It also highlights the importance of promptly submitting all required materials to Cinnabon to avoid delays in the approval process.
It is important to note that Cinnabon's acceptance of a proposed location is not a guarantee of the franchise's success. The acceptance only indicates that the location meets Cinnabon's minimum site selection criteria. Franchisees must still conduct their own due diligence to assess the potential profitability of the location. Additionally, Cinnabon typically will not approve a Concession Bakery within a two-mile radius of any existing permanent franchised business.
