What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cinnabon Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to offer products or use goods from a supplier that Cinnabon has not already approved, the franchisee must submit a written request for approval. This request must include any information that Cinnabon asks for, which Cinnabon will then review and either approve or disapprove.
This requirement allows Cinnabon to maintain quality control and consistency across all franchise locations. By mandating approval for new suppliers and goods, Cinnabon ensures that all products meet their standards, which protects the brand's reputation.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they cannot independently choose suppliers or products without Cinnabon's consent. While this might limit a franchisee's autonomy, it also provides a framework for ensuring product quality and brand consistency. Franchisees should factor in the time and potential challenges associated with getting new suppliers approved when planning their business operations.
