What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cinnabon Franchise Disclosure Document, if Cinnabon decides that changes, upgrades, or discontinuation of any part of the Computer System are advisable, franchisees must comply with Cinnabon's directions. This compliance is required at the franchisee's own expense and within a reasonable time frame after receiving notice from Cinnabon.
This requirement means that franchisees must be prepared to invest in updates or changes to their computer systems as directed by Cinnabon. These changes could involve purchasing new hardware, software, or other technology-related components. The franchisee bears the financial responsibility for these changes, which can impact their operating costs. The timeline for implementing these changes will be considered 'reasonable,' but the specific length of time is not defined in the FDD.
Cinnabon assumes no liability or obligation for requiring franchisees to modify or discontinue using any component of the Computer System. Additionally, Cinnabon is not liable for any unauthorized modifications made by the franchisee. This places the onus on the franchisee to ensure compliance with the brand's standards and to avoid making any unauthorized changes to the system. Franchisees should seek clarification from Cinnabon regarding what constitutes a 'reasonable time' for compliance and budget accordingly for potential system updates or changes.
