What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to participate in any financing program implemented by Cinnabon. While Cinnabon does not offer direct financing, they may refer franchisees to unaffiliated leasing or financing companies. Cinnabon and its affiliates do not receive any fees or financial benefits from lenders for franchisee financing.
Cinnabon may engage an advisor to provide consulting services to franchisees to assist them with securing financing, and Cinnabon may pay the advisor for this assistance to franchisees. However, Cinnabon is not responsible for the consultant's services, and franchisees must sign a separate agreement with the consultant if they choose to use their services.
Cinnabon also participates in the SBA's Franchise Directory and may modify the Franchise Agreement to comply with SBA requirements for franchisees participating in certain SBA loan programs. Additionally, Cinnabon or its affiliates may lease an SRU (additional selling location) to qualified franchisees within existing locations under an SRU Lease Agreement. Cinnabon retains the right to sell, assign, or discount any financing-related contracts or notes from the franchisee to a third party.
