What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the definition of "Other Locations" can be found in Item 6, specifically in the remarks column of the tables outlining various fees. The definition is relevant to understanding the fees associated with Cinnabon Auntie Anne's Co-Branded Bakeries.

The FDD defines "Streetside Locations" as freestanding, inline, and endcap locations on city streets or in shopping centers, excluding malls and outlet malls. "Other Locations" are then defined as all locations that are not Streetside Locations. This includes malls (both enclosed and open air), outlet malls and centers, Non-Traditional Locations, and ghost or delivery kitchens.

This distinction is important for prospective franchisees because the royalty fees and advertising contributions vary depending on whether the Cinnabon bakery is in a Streetside Location or another type of location. For example, the royalty fee for Auntie Anne's Co-Branded Bakeries in Other Locations is 6% of Net Sales attributed to Cinnabon, while the advertising contribution for Bakeries in Other Locations is different from that of Streetside Locations. Understanding the location type is crucial for calculating potential costs and revenue.
