What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you hire or appoint a Primary Contact or Manager after the bakery opens, including Directors of Operations, they are considered Subsequent Trainees. These Subsequent Trainees must attend and successfully complete the Management Training Program before becoming involved in the bakery's operation. This requirement may also apply to employees transferring from another Cinnabon location or if operational issues are identified at your bakery, necessitating additional training for managers or employees.
For each Subsequent Trainee attending the Management Training Program, you must pay Cinnabon a training fee. The current fee is $250 per trainee per day. This fee covers the cost of training these additional personnel to ensure they meet Cinnabon's standards for operation and management.
This policy ensures that all personnel involved in the operation of a Cinnabon bakery are adequately trained, even after the initial opening. It allows Cinnabon to maintain consistent quality and operational standards across all franchise locations. Franchisees should budget for these potential training costs when hiring new managers or addressing performance issues that require additional training.
