What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Cinnabon Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Approved Products' are defined as cinnamon rolls, bakery products, specialty coffee, specialty beverages, and other food products, beverage products, and related services that Cinnabon approves. Cinnabon may periodically change the specifications of these products and designate specific Approved Products as either optional or mandatory. Franchisees must offer all Approved Products that Cinnabon designates as mandatory.

Cinnabon franchisees are prohibited from producing or offering any products that Cinnabon has not authorized or directs them not to produce or sell. Approved Products must be sold only in the varieties, forms, and packages that Cinnabon has approved. If Cinnabon requires a franchisee to produce any Approved Products, the franchisee must strictly follow Cinnabon's recipes, using only those product components, ingredients, flavoring, and garnishes that meet Cinnabon's then-current standards. Franchisees must maintain a sufficient supply of required Approved Products to meet the inventory standards prescribed in the manuals or to meet reasonably anticipated customer demand.

If a Cinnabon franchisee wants to offer products or use any goods that Cinnabon has not approved, they must submit a written request for approval and provide Cinnabon with any information that they request. Cinnabon has the right to inspect the proposed supplier's facilities and test samples of the proposed goods. Cinnabon has the right to grant, deny, or revoke approval of goods or suppliers based solely on their judgment and will notify the franchisee in writing of their decision. The products and services that Cinnabon approves for a franchisee to offer in their franchised business may differ from those that Cinnabon permits or requires to be offered in other businesses.

Cinnabon also reserves the right to reinspect the facilities and goods of any Approved Supplier and to revoke approval of the goods or supplier if any fail to meet any of their then-current criteria. If a franchisee receives a notice of revocation of approval, they must stop purchasing or leasing the formerly-approved goods or any goods from the formerly-approved supplier and must dispose of their remaining inventory of the formerly-approved goods as Cinnabon directs. Franchisees may only engage in the sale of Approved Products under the System from the Franchised Business to the ultimate consumer.
