What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Full Bakery can be situated in either a Traditional Location or a Non-Traditional Location. Traditional Locations include malls, shopping centers, outlet malls and centers, and streetside locations. Non-Traditional Locations offer alternative venues for a Cinnabon Full Bakery.
The document specifies several examples of Non-Traditional Locations. These include airports, amusement parks, big box stores, casinos, colleges, convenience stores, farmer's markets, military bases, sports and entertainment venues, train stations, transportation centers, travel plazas, truck stops, universities, and zoos. These locations provide franchisees with diverse options beyond standard retail spaces, potentially tapping into different customer bases and traffic patterns.
For prospective Cinnabon franchisees, understanding the distinction between Traditional and Non-Traditional Locations is crucial. The choice of location can significantly impact the bakery's operational logistics, customer demographics, and overall profitability. Non-Traditional Locations may offer unique advantages, such as higher foot traffic in specific settings like airports or amusement parks, but may also come with specific operational challenges related to those venues.
