What does the Equipment Package for a Cinnabon Bakery consist of?
Cinnabon Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must purchase or lease from an Approved Supplier certain equipment (like kitchen equipment) and machinery that complies with our Standards (and for a Co-Branded Bakery, the standards of the Co-Branded Franchisor too). Your actual costs will vary depending on a number of factors including, without limitation, building codes and health requirements of the state where your Bakery is located.
For Full Bakeries located in a Non-Traditional location and Express Bakeries, the Equipment Package category includes all smallwares.
This estimate includes the cost of purchasing cooking utensils and supplies, cleaning supplies, other smallwares, and other tools necessary to operate the Bakery.
You must purchase, lease, and/or license and install at the Bakery the POS System, computer systems, mobile hardware, software, online ordering platform, associated computer hardware, telephone lines, network connections, communications equipment, high speed internet access (e.g.
DSL or cable), credit card, gift card and loyalty card processing equipment, and other equipment that we require from time to time (collectively, the "Computer System").
The Computer System currently includes a backoffice PC, one monitor, one back-office multi-function printer, between one and four POS System terminals (between zero and two in an Express Bakery and between one and two for a Concession Bakery), one firewall device, a dedicated iPad® or Windows® tablet/computer, and one POS System server in addition to other related software, phone and network connections, and equipment.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cinnabon Franchise Disclosure Document, the equipment package includes essential items for operating a Cinnabon bakery. Franchisees must either purchase or lease specific equipment and machinery from approved suppliers that meet Cinnabon's standards, and for co-branded bakeries, the standards of the co-branded franchisor as well. The actual costs for this equipment can vary based on factors such as building codes and health requirements specific to the state where the bakery is located.
For Cinnabon Full Bakeries in non-traditional locations and Express Bakeries, the equipment package also encompasses all smallwares. Smallwares include cooking utensils and supplies, cleaning supplies, and other tools necessary for running the bakery. Additionally, franchisees are required to purchase or lease a Computer System, which includes a backoffice PC, one monitor, one back-office multi-function printer, between one and four POS System terminals (between zero and two in an Express Bakery and between one and two for a Concession Bakery), one firewall device, a dedicated iPad® or Windows® tablet/computer, and one POS System server in addition to other related software, phone and network connections, and equipment.
Prospective franchisees should note that the costs associated with the equipment package are influenced by several variables, including location-specific regulations and the type of Cinnabon bakery (Full, Express, or Co-Branded). It is important to confirm approved suppliers and specific equipment requirements with Cinnabon to accurately estimate these costs. Understanding these requirements is crucial for budgeting and financial planning when considering a Cinnabon franchise.
