What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the current fee for On-Site Training is $500 per trainer per day. This fee is subject to change and may be increased annually, with the amount of the increase determined by the "Allowed Adjustment." In addition to the daily training fee, franchisees are responsible for reimbursing Cinnabon for the trainer's travel and living expenses, including airfare, car expenses, lodging, and meals.
This On-Site Training is not mandatory, except as specified on Schedule A of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees can request On-Site Training, and Cinnabon may agree to provide it, but they are not obligated to do so in most cases. However, Cinnabon retains the right to require franchisees to undergo On-Site Training at any time, including before or after the store's opening date, or if the franchisee fails to comply with the brand's System and Standards.
For prospective Cinnabon franchisees, it's important to factor in the potential costs of On-Site Training when budgeting for the initial investment and ongoing operational expenses. While the initial franchise fee covers the Management Training Program for the first two franchises, On-Site Training is a separate service with its own associated costs. Understanding the circumstances under which On-Site Training may be required and the potential for fee increases is crucial for financial planning.
