What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnabon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cinnabon does not charge for the initial review of the Architectural Plans. Cinnabon will review the proposed layouts, renderings, plans, and specifications for the Bakery, including interior and exterior elevations of the Accepted Location, at no cost. Cinnabon also provides one review of revised Architectural Plans incorporating required changes at no cost.
However, Cinnabon may charge a fee of $2,500 for each set of drawings reviewed that include modifications from the plans that Cinnabon has previously accepted. This means that if a franchisee makes changes to the architectural plans after the first revision, they will incur a $2,500 fee for each subsequent review.
This fee structure encourages franchisees to carefully consider their initial plans and incorporate Cinnabon's feedback efficiently. It also allows Cinnabon to recoup costs associated with reviewing extensive or repeated revisions to the architectural plans, which is a fairly common practice in franchising to ensure brand consistency and compliance with standards.
