Under what condition must a Cinch I.T. franchisee appoint a General Manager?
Cinch_I_T Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
You must appoint a General Manager to manage the day-to-day business of your Franchised Business if you or your Operating Principal cannot devote full time, energy and efforts to the operation of the Franchised Business. General Managers are not required to have an equity interest in the Franchise. We have the right to approve your General Manager (if not an owner) based on our review of their relevant experience and qualifications.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Cinch I.T.'s 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must appoint a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Cinch I.T. business if they, or their Operating Principal, cannot dedicate their full time, energy, and effort to managing the franchise. The Operating Principal must have at least 25% ownership in the Franchise Entity and authority over all business decisions.
This requirement ensures that the Cinch I.T. franchise maintains consistent management and operational standards, even when the franchisee or Operating Principal is not directly involved. The General Manager must complete the Initial Training program, and Cinch I.T. retains the right to approve the General Manager based on their experience and qualifications, if the general manager is not an owner.
This policy is fairly common in franchising, particularly for owner-operator models. It allows for flexibility in how the franchise is managed while ensuring that a qualified individual is always in charge. Prospective Cinch I.T. franchisees should consider this requirement when planning their involvement in the business and budgeting for staffing costs.
