What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Cinch I.T. Franchise Disclosure Document, there are exceptions to the standard transfer fees. The standard transfer fee is $10,000, payable when a franchisee sells their franchise. However, this fee is waived if the franchise is transferred to a corporation or other entity that the franchisee controls.
For Multi-Unit Developers, a transfer fee is also applicable when selling their franchise. The fee is $5,000 for each unopened franchise and $10,000 for each open and operating franchised business. Similar to the standard franchise agreement, this transfer fee is not charged if the franchise is transferred to a corporation or another entity controlled by the Multi-Unit Developer.
This exception can be a significant benefit for Cinch I.T. franchisees, providing flexibility in structuring their business and managing ownership without incurring additional fees. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand these conditions and consider them in their business planning and potential exit strategies.
