What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Cinch I.T. Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Training Fee is not refundable. Franchisees must pay an Initial Training Fee of $30,000 when signing the Franchise Agreement. This fee covers training for one salesperson and one technician to attend the Initial Training Program.
For franchisees entering into a Development Agreement, the Initial Training Fee is also non-refundable. While subsequent franchise locations under the Development Agreement may have discounted training fees (25% off for the second location, 50% off for the third and subsequent locations), the initial fee for each agreement remains non-refundable.
Item 23 of the Cinch I.T. FDD states that all amounts collected are deemed fully earned immediately upon receipt and are non-refundable. This policy applies regardless of whether the franchisee opens any of the Cinch I.T. Franchised Businesses they are obligated to open under the Development Area agreement. This non-refundable policy is a standard practice in franchising, as the franchisor incurs costs and dedicates resources from the moment the agreement is signed.
