Cinch_I_T Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

You must comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations that apply to all businesses in general such as workers' compensation, equal protection and workplace safety laws and regulations, including Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Because you will accept credit cards, you will also have to comply with any general laws and regulations relating to the acceptance of credit cards, including the Payment Card Industry ("PCI") Data Security Standard ("DSS"). Compliance with the PCI DSS is your responsibility.

There are no regulations specific to our industry that will affect operation of your Franchised Business.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Cinch I.T. Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations generally applicable to businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, laws and regulations concerning workers' compensation, equal protection, and workplace safety. These encompass Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, ensuring fair employment practices and accessibility.

Because Cinch I.T. franchisees accept credit card payments, they must also comply with laws and regulations related to credit card acceptance. This specifically includes the Payment Card Industry ("PCI") Data Security Standard ("DSS"). It is the franchisee's responsibility to ensure compliance with the PCI DSS, which involves implementing and maintaining security measures to protect credit card data.

Notably, the FDD states that there are no regulations specific to the I.T. industry that would uniquely affect the operation of a Cinch I.T. franchised business. This suggests that while franchisees must stay current with general business laws, they do not face additional regulatory burdens specific to the I.T. sector.
