What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Cinch I.T.'s 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have the privilege to use the Cinch I.T. intranet, but this usage is subject to strict compliance with the System Standards, protocols, and restrictions established by Cinch I.T., which are collectively referred to as "Franchisor Protocols."
The Franchisor Protocols may relate to several aspects of intranet usage. These include guidelines regarding the use of appropriate language, prohibiting abusive, slanderous, or offensive language in electronic communications. The protocols also address communications among franchisees, specifically discouraging any endorsements or encouragement of breaching franchise or license agreements. Cinch I.T. also mandates confidential treatment of materials transmitted via the intranet, ensuring sensitive information remains protected.
Furthermore, the Franchisor Protocols cover technical aspects such as password protocols and other security precautions to safeguard the intranet. They also outline the grounds and procedures for Cinch I.T. to suspend or revoke a franchisee's access to the intranet if necessary. Lastly, a privacy policy governs Cinch I.T.'s access to and use of electronic communications posted by franchisees on the intranet. Cinch I.T. can technically access and view any communication posted on the intranet, and all communications become the property of Cinch I.T., without any claims of privacy or privilege.
