What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cinch I.T. requires that each franchised business has a 'Designated Manager' who is fully trained and dedicates their full-time attention to managing, supervising, and developing the Cinch I.T. business. This Designated Manager must also be identified to Cinch I.T. The FDD also states that equity owners of a Multi-Unit Developer must be identified using the Principal Owner's Statement.
This requirement ensures that each Cinch I.T. franchise location has a dedicated and qualified individual overseeing its operations. For a prospective franchisee, this means they must either fulfill this role themselves or hire a qualified manager who meets Cinch I.T.'s standards. This could involve additional costs for salary and training.
The stipulation to identify all equity owners of a Multi-Unit Developer ensures transparency and allows Cinch I.T. to maintain control over who is involved in the ownership and management of multiple franchise units. Franchisees should be aware of these requirements and plan accordingly when structuring their business and staffing.
