We will provide you with our then-current specifications for the layout, design, appearance, and signage for your Cilantro Taco Grill outlet.

You, your architect, and your contractor are required to adapt our specifications for the construction of your premises and obtain permits.

We do not adapt plans or obtain permits for you.

In our discretion, we may require you to use our designated architect and/or contractors for site development and sign installation (Franchise Agreement, Sections 8.2.1, 10.2).

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Cilantro Taco Grill's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to adapt the franchisor's specifications for the construction of their premises. Cilantro Taco Grill will provide its then-current specifications for the layout, design, appearance, and signage for the outlet.

The franchisee, along with their architect and contractor, must adapt these specifications to meet local requirements and obtain the necessary permits for construction. Cilantro Taco Grill does not handle the adaptation of plans or the acquisition of permits for the franchisee.

However, Cilantro Taco Grill retains the discretion to mandate the use of their designated architect and/or contractors for site development and sign installation. This requirement offers the benefit of ensuring brand consistency and adherence to standards, but it may limit the franchisee's choice of local service providers and potentially increase costs if the designated professionals are more expensive than local alternatives.
