What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Cilantro Taco Grill's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the per diem rate for a trainer for mandatory additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference, is currently $1,000, plus the trainer's expenses. This means that in addition to covering the trainer's transportation, lodging, and meals, a franchisee must pay $1,000 per day for each trainer providing the training.

Additionally, if a franchisee requests on-site remedial training, they must reimburse all costs for the services of Cilantro Taco Grill's trainer, including the trainer's per diem fee and all travel-related expenses such as transportation, meals, and lodging. The current fee for on-site remedial training is $500 per trainer per day.

It is important to note the distinction between the per diem rate for mandatory additional training ($1,000) and the per diem rate for requested on-site remedial training ($500). Franchisees should factor these costs into their operational budgets, especially considering that attendance at mandatory training programs is a requirement, and failure to attend can result in a breach of the Franchise Agreement.
