What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Development Rights agreement specifies that restaurants developed under the agreement must be located in the Development Area. The Development Area is identified on Attachment A of the agreement.
This means a Cicis developer's rights to open new locations are restricted to a specific geographic area. Attachment A, which is not included in the provided excerpts, would define the boundaries of this Development Area. The franchisee is responsible for finding suitable sites within this area, and Cicis has the right to approve or reject any proposed site.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Attachment A to fully understand the scope and limitations of their Development Rights. They should also conduct their own due diligence to ensure that the Development Area can support the number of restaurants they are obligated to develop according to the Development Schedule.
