What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may be reimbursed for grand opening promotion expenses under specific conditions. The franchisee must execute a grand opening promotion for their Cicis restaurant according to Cicis's written specifications.
The reimbursement is limited to the expenses the franchisee actually incurred and paid, excluding salaries and benefits paid to the franchisee or their employees. The maximum reimbursement amount is capped at the Renewal Fee paid by the franchisee.
To qualify for this reimbursement, the franchisee must sign and satisfy all conditions outlined in the Underperforming Incentive Program Addendum, which is attached as Exhibit D-4 to the Franchise Disclosure Document. This indicates that the reimbursement is tied to specific performance criteria and participation in an incentive program designed to address underperforming locations.
