After you sign an Area Development Agreement, but before you open a Cicis Restaurant, we or our affiliates will provide you the following assistance:

Typical Length of Time Before You Open Your Location
Under the Franchise Agreement, you must open your Cicis Restaurant and commence business within 365 days following the date on which you sign the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cicis grants a Development Area to franchisees after they sign an Area Development Agreement, but before they open a Cicis Restaurant. Specifically, the document states that Cicis or its affiliates will grant the Development Area as part of their pre-opening obligations under the Area Development Agreement.
This agreement outlines the geographic area in which the franchisee has the right to develop and operate multiple Cicis restaurants. The Area Development Agreement specifies the number of restaurants the franchisee is expected to open within a defined period.
Commencing business under the Area Development Agreement begins immediately upon its execution. Cicis also reviews proposed sites for development and, at its discretion, may accept the site and execute its then-current form of Franchise Agreement with the franchisee and their approved affiliate.
