What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cicis Franchise Disclosure Document, the System Standards may regulate the methods of payment that a Cicis Restaurant may accept from customers. This means Cicis has the right to set standards, specifications, policies, and procedures relating to the operation of your restaurant, and franchisees must comply with these standards as they exist.
This gives Cicis the ability to dictate which forms of payment are acceptable at the restaurant level. For a prospective franchisee, this could mean being required to accept specific credit cards, mobile payment systems, or other payment methods. It also implies that Cicis could prohibit certain payment types, such as specific digital currencies or checks, if they deem it necessary for the system's uniformity or efficiency.
While Cicis retains the right to establish and modify these System Standards, the franchisee maintains the responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of their restaurant, including the implementation and maintenance of these standards. Franchisees should be aware that these standards can change, potentially requiring them to adapt their payment processing systems and train staff accordingly.
