What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the System Standards may regulate the days and hours of operation for its restaurants. As a franchisee, you must adhere to these standards, which Cicis retains the right to establish and modify periodically. However, the franchisee retains sole responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the restaurant, including the implementation and maintenance of these System Standards.

Cicis may modify the System Standards to accommodate regional or local variations, potentially requiring franchisees to invest additional capital and incur higher operating costs. Cicis may also require franchisees to make certain operational modifications, including changing the hours of operation, based on regional or local public health concerns. These changes might not apply system-wide and could affect only your specific restaurant, even to the point of requiring temporary closure.

Furthermore, franchisees must maintain the buffet at Cicis Buffet Restaurants in operation at all times specified in the manuals or otherwise in writing. During all hours of operation, a manager certified by Cicis must be on duty. Therefore, while franchisees manage the day-to-day operations, Cicis maintains significant control over operational hours through its System Standards and Manuals.
