Does the supplier approval procedure obligate Cicis to approve any particular supplier?

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the supplier approval procedure does not obligate Cicis to approve any particular supplier. However, if a franchisee wishes to use a supplier that Cicis has not already approved, the franchisee must submit a written request for approval, or ask the supplier to do so.

As part of the approval process, Cicis representatives are permitted to inspect the supplier's facilities, and samples from the supplier may be delivered to Cicis or an independent laboratory for testing. The franchisee or the supplier is responsible for covering the costs of these inspections and tests. Cicis will then notify the franchisee of their decision within 15 days after completing the inspection and evaluation process.

Cicis retains the right to re-inspect the facilities and products of any approved supplier and to revoke approval if the supplier fails to continue meeting Cicis's standards. Cicis also reserves the right to revoke approval of any supplier at any time and may designate themselves, an affiliate, or a third party as the exclusive source for any particular item. Cicis does not provide its criteria for approving suppliers to its franchisees.
