What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to carry out and fund a grand opening promotion for their new restaurant. The specifics of this promotion, however, are determined by Cicis and communicated through the manuals or in writing.
This means that a prospective Cicis franchisee will need to allocate funds for a grand opening promotion, but the exact amount and nature of the promotion are not explicitly defined in the franchise agreement. Instead, Cicis retains the discretion to specify these details, potentially allowing for adjustments based on local market conditions or the franchisee's specific circumstances.
It is important to note that the funds spent on the grand opening promotion will not count towards any other financial obligations outlined in the franchise agreement. Therefore, franchisees should carefully review the manuals and any written communications from Cicis to understand the full scope of the required grand opening promotion and budget accordingly to ensure compliance and a successful launch.
