You agree to comply with all of your obligations under the New Franchise Agreement (including, without limitation, Section 2 and Section 5.F. thereof) as they apply to the continuation of the operation of the Restaurant.

You agree to remodel and refurbish the Restaurant and its premises as necessary to comply with the System Standards, including, without limitation, those items reflected on Exhibit A hereto.

All such required remodel and refurbishment must be completed by not later than the date shown on Exhibit A and must be demonstrated and verified to us by digital photographs and/or video by not later than that date.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Cicis Franchise Disclosure Document, Section 2 and Section 5.F of the New Franchise Agreement address a franchisee's obligation to maintain and update their restaurant to comply with Cicis's System Standards.

Specifically, if a franchisee is re-opening a previously closed Cicis restaurant, they must take actions to remodel and refresh the restaurant as described in Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement. These "Refresh Obligations" must be completed by the Reopening Deadline shown on Attachment A, ensuring the restaurant meets current brand standards upon reopening.

Furthermore, in cases where a franchisee is taking over an existing location, they must agree to remodel and refurbish the Restaurant and its premises as necessary to comply with the System Standards, including, without limitation, those items reflected on Exhibit A. All such required remodel and refurbishment must be completed by not later than the date shown on Exhibit A and must be demonstrated and verified to Cicis by digital photographs and/or video by not later than that date.
