What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cicis retains the right to establish and periodically modify System Standards. These System Standards are designed to maintain uniformity across all Cicis restaurants and ensure compliance with the brand's operational standards. While Cicis can modify these standards, the franchisee retains the responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of their restaurant, including implementing and maintaining the System Standards.

These System Standards can regulate various aspects of the restaurant's operation, including sales, marketing, advertising, staffing levels, use of trademarks, hours of operation, payment methods, online presence, market research, gift card programs, menus, bookkeeping, quality assurance, third-party delivery services, insurance coverage, and any other aspects that Cicis deems useful for maintaining the brand's image and efficient operation. This wide-ranging control allows Cicis to adapt to changing market conditions and maintain brand consistency.

Cicis's ability to modify System Standards may require franchisees to invest additional capital in their restaurants and incur higher operating costs to comply with the new standards. These modifications can also include changes to hours of operation, service delivery methods, product offerings, and temporary signage, which may be implemented on a regional or local basis to address public health concerns or other specific issues. In some cases, these changes may only affect a single restaurant and could even require temporary closure. Franchisees must adhere to these changes as determined by Cicis, highlighting the importance of flexibility and adaptability in operating a Cicis franchise.
