What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the restaurants developed under the Development Rights must be located in the Development Area. The Development Area is identified on Attachment A of the agreement.
Cicis grants Development Rights to those who meet their qualifications and are willing to commit to acquiring multiple franchises. These rights allow developers to open Cicis restaurants within a specific geographic area, as defined in the Development Agreement. The franchisee is responsible for finding suitable sites within the Development Area, and Cicis retains the right to approve or reject any proposed site.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Attachment A to fully understand the boundaries of their Development Area. They should also conduct thorough market research to ensure that the area can support the number of restaurants they are obligated to develop according to the Development Schedule. Failing to meet the development schedule or securing appropriate sites within the designated area could have significant financial and contractual repercussions.
