What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must keep Cicis informed about the identity of the person serving as their General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for directing the daily operation and management of the Cicis restaurant. Franchisees must designate a General Manager no later than 45 days prior to the restaurant's opening date and maintain this designation throughout the term of the agreement.
This requirement ensures that Cicis is aware of who is managing the restaurant and can verify that the General Manager meets the necessary qualifications. The General Manager must devote full time and their best efforts to the supervision and management of the restaurant.
If Cicis determines that the restaurant is not being managed by a properly trained and qualified General Manager, they will notify the franchisee. The franchisee must then take corrective measures within a reasonable timeframe, not exceeding 60 days from the date of the notice. During this period, the franchisee must provide interim management of the restaurant, which must be approved in writing by Cicis.
