What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cicis has the right to conduct on-site inspections to assess the progress of construction or remodeling of your restaurant location. As a franchisee, you may be required to pay Cicis a reasonable fee for these on-site inspections.
In addition to the inspection fee, you may also be responsible for covering or reimbursing Cicis for expenses they incur during these inspections. These expenses can include costs related to travel, lodging, and meals for the Cicis representatives conducting the on-site inspections.
This means that as a prospective Cicis franchisee, you should factor in potential costs for on-site inspections during the construction or remodeling phase of your restaurant. These costs can include both a reasonable fee charged by Cicis for the inspection itself, as well as reimbursement for travel-related expenses incurred by Cicis. It is important to discuss these potential costs with Cicis during your due diligence to understand the scope and frequency of inspections and associated fees.
