We will determine from time to time the start and end day of the week for purposes of calculating the Royalty Fee and the day of the week on which payment of the Royalty Fee is due. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a monthly Technology and Support Fee of $100. This fee grants the franchisee the right to utilize specific technology mandated by Cicis for operating their restaurant.
The Technology and Support Fee is in addition to any direct out-of-pocket expenses the franchisee incurs to acquire and maintain the necessary computer systems and other technologies to comply with the franchise agreement and operational manual. This means that while the $100 covers the right to use Cicis's mandated technology, franchisees should anticipate additional costs for hardware, software licenses, and IT support.
Cicis retains the right to designate a service provider, which may include themselves or an affiliate, to receive this fee. Furthermore, Cicis may require franchisees to enter into a separate written agreement with a third-party provider under terms and conditions approved or required by Cicis. Franchisees must pay the Technology and Support Fee at the times and in the manner designated by Cicis or the service provider.
