What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence. This insurance coverage includes personal injury, advertising injury, completed operations, products liability, and fire damage. Additionally, the franchisee must maintain a $2,000,000 general aggregate and a $2,000,000 product aggregate limit, fire legal liability of $50,000, and a premises medical limit of $2,500.
This requirement ensures that Cicis franchisees have adequate financial protection against potential liabilities arising from their business operations. The per occurrence limit means that for each separate incident, the insurance company will cover up to $1,000,000 in damages. The aggregate limits cap the total amount the insurance company will pay out during the policy term, regardless of the number of occurrences.
Franchisees should factor in the cost of this insurance coverage when evaluating the overall investment required to start and operate a Cicis franchise. It is also important to note that Cicis may periodically change the required amounts of coverage or require different or additional insurance coverages to reflect inflation, identification of new risks, changes in the Laws or liability, higher damage awards or other relevant changes in circumstances. Franchisees must also name Cicis as an additional insured on their liability policies.
