What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cicis Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination of the Franchise Agreement, a franchisee must immediately and permanently cease using the mark "Cicis" and all other Marks. The franchisee must return to Cicis (or destroy, if directed) any Confidential Information.
This obligation ensures that the franchisee severs all ties with the Cicis brand and ceases representing themselves as a current franchisee. This protects Cicis's brand integrity and prevents any potential misuse of confidential information or intellectual property after the franchise agreement ends.
If a franchisee fails to promptly de-identify their Restaurant according to Cicis's System Standards, Cicis has the right to correct the deficiency, and the franchisee must reimburse Cicis for all costs incurred in doing so. This provision reinforces the franchisee's responsibility to remove all branding and identification associated with Cicis from the premises, and it allows Cicis to take necessary actions to protect its brand identity if the franchisee does not comply.
