  • (2) The persons identified in Sections 5.D and 5.E above and such other personnel at your Restaurant as we designate must attend such additional training programs and seminars as we may require from time to time. For all such programs and seminars, we will provide the instructors and training materials. However, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for such additional training programs and seminars.
  • (3) In connection with the opening of your Restaurant, we may provide you with on-site opening assistance we deem necessary. The number of trained representatives providing such

assistance and the time period for which such assistance will be provided will be determined by us based on the number of Cicis Restaurants you and your affiliates operate and our assessment of your operational requirements. You will not be required to pay a fee or reimburse our expenses for on-site opening assistance if this Agreement is for your (or your affiliates') first or second Restaurant. If this Agreement is for your (or your affiliates') third or subsequent Restaurant, at our request, you must pay or reimburse us for the expenses we incur to provide such assistance, such as the cost of travel, lodging, and meals.

  • (4) Upon your reasonable request, or as we deem appropriate, we will, during the Term, and subject to the availability of personnel, provide on-site remedial training to your Restaurant personnel. You will pay the per diem fee then being charged to franchisees under the System for the services of such trained representatives, plus their costs of travel, lodging, and meals.
  • (5) Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you will be responsible for any and all expenses, including the costs of travel, lodging, meals, and wages, incurred by you or your personnel in connection with any training program (initial or subsequent) we provide.

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cicis may provide on-site opening assistance that they deem necessary when opening a restaurant. The number of representatives and the time period for assistance will be determined by Cicis based on the number of Cicis Restaurants the franchisee and their affiliates operate and Cicis's assessment of the franchisee's operational requirements.

For a franchisee's first or second restaurant, Cicis does not require a fee or expense reimbursement for on-site opening assistance. However, if the agreement is for the franchisee's third or subsequent restaurant, Cicis may request that the franchisee pay or reimburse expenses incurred to provide assistance, such as travel, lodging, and meals.

Cicis also provides training programs and seminars for designated personnel, providing instructors and training materials. While Cicis provides instructors and training materials, they reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for additional training programs and seminars. Franchisees are generally responsible for expenses like travel, lodging, meals, and wages incurred by them or their personnel for any training programs, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cicis may also supplement or replace in-person training with online modules.
