What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Cicis determines, in its sole judgment, that a restaurant is not managed by a properly trained and qualified General Manager or Assistant Managers, Cicis will notify the franchisee. The franchisee must then take appropriate corrective measures within a reasonable time frame, not exceeding 60 days from the date of the notice.

During this 60-day period, the franchisee is required to provide interim management for the restaurant. This interim management must be in accordance with the franchise agreement and approved in writing by Cicis. This ensures that the restaurant continues to operate under acceptable management while the franchisee addresses the issue of inadequate management personnel.

This requirement highlights the importance Cicis places on having qualified management in place. It also means that franchisees need to have contingency plans for management changes or performance issues. The franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring their restaurant is always run by individuals meeting Cicis's standards, and failure to do so can trigger the corrective measures outlined in the franchise agreement.
