What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to contribute 5% of their restaurant's Net Sales to the marketing fund, which is referred to as the "Fund Contribution". This contribution is calculated and becomes due at the same time as the Royalty Fee.
The Royalty Fee for Cicis Buffet Restaurants is 5% of Net Sales, while Cicis To Go Restaurants pay 6%. The Royalty Fee is due weekly, based on the preceding week's Net Sales, and is paid via EFT or other specified means. Cicis determines the start and end day of the week for calculating the Royalty Fee and the day of the week on which payment is due.
If the payment due date falls on a non-business day, the payment is due on the next business day. Therefore, the Fund Contribution, mirroring the Royalty Fee schedule, is also due weekly, calculated on the same basis as the Royalty Fee, and payable via EFT or other specified means, with adjustments for non-business days.
