What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, during the term of the agreement, Cicis may send notices to the franchisee via hand delivery, mail, carrier, or by email to the official system email address that Cicis assigns to the franchisee or their owners, which is currently "@cicispizza.com". It is the franchisee's responsibility to check this email address frequently, specifically at least daily. After the agreement expires or is terminated, Cicis will send notices via hand delivery, mail, or carrier to the franchisee's last known address and via email to their last known non-Cicis system email address.
This requirement ensures that Cicis can reliably communicate important information to franchisees, such as updates to operating procedures, marketing initiatives, or legal notices. By mandating daily checks of the assigned email address, Cicis aims to prevent franchisees from missing critical communications that could impact their business operations or compliance with the franchise agreement.
For a prospective Cicis franchisee, this means they must be prepared to monitor their Cicis-assigned email account regularly. Failing to do so could result in missed deadlines, non-compliance with Cicis's policies, or a lack of awareness of important business updates. After the franchise agreement ends, it is equally important to keep Cicis informed of any changes to the franchisee's non-Cicis email address to ensure continued receipt of important communications.
