Not later than 45 days prior to the Opening Date, and at all times during the Term, you must designate a general manager who must direct the daily operation and management of your Restaurant ("General Manager") and the number of assistant managers we deem reasonably necessary for the daily operation and management of your Restaurant ("Assistant Managers") who, in each case, meet the qualifications set forth in this Section 5.E.

You will at all times keep us informed as to the identity of the person serving as your General Manager.

The General Manager must devote full time and best efforts to the supervision and management of your Restaurant.

If we, in our sole judgment, determine that your Restaurant is not managed by a properly trained and qualified General Manager or Assistant Managers, we will notify you, and you will take appropriate corrective measures within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed 60 days from the date of the notice.

Further, during such time period, you will provide interim management of your Restaurant in accordance with this Agreement and approved in writing by us.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must designate a General Manager who will direct the daily operation and management of the Restaurant. This General Manager must meet the qualifications outlined in Section 5.E of the franchise agreement. The franchisee is obligated to keep Cicis informed about the identity of the person serving as General Manager.

The General Manager is required to devote their full time and best efforts to supervising and managing the Cicis restaurant. If Cicis determines, in its sole judgment, that the restaurant is not being managed by a properly trained and qualified General Manager or Assistant Managers, Cicis will notify the franchisee.

Upon notification that the General Manager is not properly trained or qualified, the franchisee must take appropriate corrective measures within a reasonable timeframe, not exceeding 60 days from the date of the notice. During this period, the franchisee is required to provide interim management of the restaurant, which must be in accordance with the Franchise Agreement and approved in writing by Cicis. This ensures that the restaurant's operations continue to meet Cicis's standards even while the General Manager's qualifications are being addressed.
