What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cicis franchisees must adhere to the brand's standards, specifications, policies, and procedures for restaurant operations. While the franchisee retains responsibility for day-to-day management, Cicis maintains the right to set and modify System Standards. These standards cover various aspects, including insurance coverage types, amounts, terms, conditions, and criteria for insurance carriers.
Specifically, the franchisee must comply with the types, amounts, terms, and conditions of insurance coverage required for their Cicis restaurant, including the criteria for their insurance carriers. This ensures that all Cicis restaurants maintain adequate protection against potential risks and liabilities, safeguarding the brand's reputation and financial stability.
Additionally, franchisees need prior written approval from Cicis for any alterations, improvements, or changes to the restaurant's design, equipment, signs, or decor. This requirement helps maintain uniformity across all Cicis locations and ensures that the brand's image and customer experience remain consistent. By controlling these aspects, Cicis aims to preserve the efficient operation, image, and goodwill associated with the brand and its restaurants.
