What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Cicis franchisee is required to get prior written approval from Cicis before making any alterations or improvements to the design, equipment, signs, interior or exterior decor items, fixtures, or furnishings of their restaurant. This requirement ensures that all Cicis restaurants maintain a consistent brand image and meet the franchisor's standards.
This means a franchisee cannot independently decide to change the layout, install new equipment, or alter the decor without first submitting their plans to Cicis for approval. This process allows Cicis to ensure that any changes align with the overall brand aesthetic and operational standards. It also helps maintain uniformity across all franchise locations, which is a key element of brand recognition and customer experience.
The franchisee must adhere to the standards outlined in the Cicis manuals regarding the maintenance and condition of the restaurant. This includes keeping the restaurant in good repair and complying with all sanitation requirements. The franchisee is responsible for maintaining these standards and obtaining approval for any changes they wish to make to the restaurant's design or appearance.
