What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement addresses branded email. Cicis reserves the right to require franchisees to obtain and use an email address associated with their registered domain name. If Cicis requires this, the franchisee must adhere to the then-current System Standards.

Cicis retains unrestricted access to all such email accounts, including all documents, data, materials, and messages shared through them. Cicis can deactivate any account or limit access at any time. Franchisees must use the branded email address only in connection with their restaurant operations and in compliance with all applicable laws.

The Franchise Agreement also states that franchisees cannot use Cicis's Marks or any associated names as part of any email address. Additionally, franchisees need written consent from Cicis before transmitting advertisements or solicitations by email or other electronic media, and they are responsible for complying with all laws pertaining to sending emails, including the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
